She was born in Leitchfield,KY on 10-22-1951. Sharon was a registered nurse, receiving her degree fronm Western Kentucky University. She was employed by Dr. Robert Chambliss, having worked in his practice for many years as well as previously working and caring for patients at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. Sharon was a member of Kentucky Nurse's Association, Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was the pianist sharing duties with her husband Jim. She enjoyed working seek and find puzzles, playing the piano, but most importantly spending time with her children and granddaughters. Because of their love of travel, Sharon and Jim had the opportunity to visit many sites in the United States as well as Europe and Asia. She is survived by her husband Jim who she married 9-15-1973. her parents: Harold and Altha Burnett of Duff,KY 3 children: James Kennedy and his wife Kristin of Brownsville,KY Melissa Carwile and her husband Jared of Harned,KY Jon Kennedy of Harned,KY 3 granddaughters who affectionately called her "Girl" - Brittany, Emily and Maggie Carwile Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 3-25-2008 at 11AM at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dee Ann Thompson, Rev. Jim Johnson and Rev. Don Bruington officiating. With Amazing Grace being played on bagpipes, Sharon will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home from 2:30 - 8:00PM and after 8:30AM Tuesday. Memorial contributions are requested to: American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
