OBITUARY
     Lum (?Columbus) W. KENNEDY, age 73, of Hardinsburg, Ky, died Tuesday, April 
17, 1979 at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg, following a short 
illness.  He was born in Breckinridge County on August 4, 1905, a son of the late 
Jim KENNEDY and Mary L. WARDRIP KENNEDY.  He was a retired farmer.  Survivors 
include:
his wife, Mrs. Irene KENNEDY  (maiden name: EDMONSON)
three sons:
Jesse J. KENNEDY of Garfield, Ky (Breckinridge County)
William KENNEDY of Westview, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Albert F. KENNEDY of Taylorsville, Ky (Spencer County)
seven step-children:
Lesieur NASH of Hardinsburg, Ky
Joe NASH of Hardinsburg, Ky
Glen NASH, Jr. of Vine Grove, Ky (Hardin County)
Robert NASH of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. Kenneth (Ella Mae) HAYNES of Mount Washington, Ky (Bullitt County)
Mrs. H.C. (Roberta) PROBUS of Newburgh, Indiana (Warrick County)
Mrs. Mary Virginia HINTON of Hawesville, Ky (Hancock County)
one sister:
Hallie B. WILSON of Shelburn, Indiana (Sullivan County)
two brothers:
John W. KENNEDY of Constantine, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Kirby KENNEDY of Hawesville, Ky
8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 13 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great 
grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 19, 1979 at the Hardinsburg 
Baptist Church, under the direction of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in 
Hardinsburg.  Burial was at New Bethel Cemetery.
