OBITUARY
     Melvin Norris KINNISON, age 41, of Louisville, Ky died there Sunday, 
December 20, 1981, at the Methodist Hospital, following a lengthy illness.  Mr. 
KINNISON was the son of Jonas and Eliza DOWELL KINNISON, who survive.  He was 
employed by the Jefferson County Works Department.
     Surviving in addition to his parents are:
his wife, Mrs. Edna KINNISON
one son, Neil KINNISON of Irvington, Ky
a step-son, Michael COMPTON of Louisville, Ky
one sister, Mrs. Gladys DRISKELL of Hardinsburg, Ky
     Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 1981 at 1 p.m. 
from the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Interment was in the cemetery 
with the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.

#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
