OBITUARY

     James Roland KIPER, age 72, of Colfax, Illinois in McLean County, died at 
11:55 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his residence in Colfax, Illinois.  
Jim was born August 2, 1946 in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, the son 
of Edgar F. and Anna SADDLER KIPER.  He married Nancy DURFLINGER on July 5, 
1985 in Cooksville, Illinois, also located in McLean County.
     Jim served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He 
received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for service to our country.  Jim 
was also a 35 year employee at Interlake Steel in Pontiac, Illinois in 
Livingston County.
     Mr. KIPER was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert 
KIPER, and one brother-in-law, Gary SPURLING.
                            Surviving are:
his wife, Mrs. Nancy KIPER
one son
one grandson
SIBLINGS:
two brothers
two sisters
one sister-in-law
many nieces and nephews
     Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 in 
Calvert Community Church Cemetery, with full military rites.
