SAD DEATH OF YOUNG BOY --
     Carl LAMB, the 14 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. LAMB, died Sunday 
night, April 17, 1904, at 9:50 p.m. of pneumonia and la grippe.  He was ill only 
a week, and his death was a shock to friends and relatives as some improvement 
was noticed in his condition several hours before death came.
     The funeral was held from the family residence at 4:00 Monday afternoon, 
April 18, 1904, and the interment was in the Cloverport City Cemetery.  The 
Reverend P. L. KING, of the Methodist Church, conducted the funeral service.

All friends and schoolmates of the deceased.
     A large concourse of friends and relatives of this city and Tobinsport, 
Indiana (Perry County), attended the funeral.
     At 3:00, the city public school, of which the deceased was a member, was 
dismissed and many school children were in attendance.
     The death of the young boy was one of the saddest in the city for some time.  
He was one of the brightest pupils of the High School, a member of the 
Presbyterian Sunday School, and many friends among his acquaintances.
