OBITUARY
Mrs. Betty LASLIE, age 69, of Hardinsburg, died Monday, January 14, 1988 at 
the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.  She was born September 7, 
1918 in Columbia, South Carolina (Richland County).  She was a retired 
employee of Breckinridge Memorial Hospital and Medco Center, in Hardinsburg. 
 Mrs. LASLIE was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman LASLIE in 1976, 
and a daughter, Verbal Alice LASLIE in 1957.  Surviving Mrs. LASLIE are:
two sons:
Lester LASLIE of Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Terry LASLIE of Hardinsburg, Ky
one sister:
Mrs. Lessie SHELLEY of Green Sea, South Carolina (Horry County)
one brother:
George ASKINS of Columbia, South Carolina
5 grandchildren
     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 
1988 from the chapel of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with the 
Reverend Alton Lawhorn, officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairview 
Cemetery.


Additional Comments:
Mrs. Betty ASKINS LASLIE has a tombstone at the Fairview United Methodist 
Church Cemetery at SeRee, in Breckinridge County, Ky.  Her death date on her 
tombstone gives: died January 11, 1988  NOT January 14.
