OBITUARY

     C. D. LUCAS, Sr., age 84 of Elizabethtown, Ky., in Hardin County, formerly 
of Hardinsburg, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 6, 1985 at the Grayson County 
Hospital, Leitchfield.  He was born in Breckinridge County on January 31, 1901, 
a son of the late George and Leona MEADOR LUCAS.
     Mr. LUCAS was a farmer, a member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist 
Church, a Mason, former Hardinsburg Mayor, and Businessman.
He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Lois LUCAS
one daughter 
two sons
8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Friday, June 7, 1985 at the Hardinsburg 
United Methodist Church.  Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery, with the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
