OBITUARY

     Mrs. Mary Belle LUCAS, age 71, of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky died on 
Tuesday, November 4, 1980 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg, after 
a short illness.  She was born October 9, 1909 in Breckinridge County, a 
daughter of the late Kelly SOSH & Mrs. Maudie PHIPPS SOSH, who survives.  She 
was preceded in death by her husband, James LUCAS.

Surviving in addition to her Mother are:
four daughters:
Mrs. Lucille CARMAN of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Irene ARMES of Harned, Ky
Mrs. Louise HALE of Custer, Ky
Mrs. Doris BUTLER of Westview, Ky
eight sons:
Marvin LUCAS of Louisville, Ky
Gilbert LUCAS of SeRee, Ky
Roger LUCAS of SeRee, Ky
Kelly LUCAS of Westview, Ky
Ralph LUCAS of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky
Tommy LUCAS of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky
Larry LUCAS of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky
Eugene LUCAS of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky

Also surviving:
two sisters:
Mrs. Edna LUCAS of Hudson, Ky
Mrs. Eva MINTER of Constantine, Ky
two brothers:
Herbert SOSH of Dyer, Ky
Henry SOSH of Custer, Ky
36 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 12 great grandchildren; 4 step-great 
grandchildren
   The funeral was held on Friday, November 7, 1980 at the Hudson United 
Methodist Church.  Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery with the Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.
