Obituary

Herman LUCAS of Big Spring, Ky., died suddenly of a heart attack on October 8, 
1960.  He was born August 11, 1899 in Breckinridge County, where he spent most 
of his life.  He was the son of the late Jim and Ada LUCAS, and a faithful 
member of the Big Spring Methodist Church.  Surviving him are:
his wife, Mrs. Stella WORTHAM LUCAS
one sister:
Mrs. Mollie TRENT, Vine Grove (Hardin County), Ky.
a half-sister:
Mrs. Willard PRESTON, Cecelia (Hardin County), Ky.
three brothers:
Lewis LUCAS, Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky.
Bob LUCAS, Big Spring, Ky.
Brown LUCAS, Big Spring, Ky.
a half-brother:
James LUCAS, Cecelia, Ky.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11, 1960 at the Big Spring 
Methodist Church with the Stovall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  
Burial was in the church cemetery.

Additional Comments:
I found a single tombstone for Herman, but I did not find a tombstone for his 
wife, Stella.

Breckinridge County Cemetery Book, Vol. one, published in 1991:
Big Spring Methodist Church and Cemetery, is located on the north side of KY 
Highway 333 in Big Spring, just east of the common corner of Breckinridge, 
Meade, and Hardin counties.  (The town of Big Spring lies in all 3 counties)
