Obituary
WILLIAM GILBERT MACY, SR.

Funeral services were held from the Hardinsburg Methodist Church on December 
9, 1960.  Fellow Masons were pallbearers.  Dowell Funeral Home of Hardinsburg 
was in charge of arrangements, and burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery in 
Hardinsburg (Breckinridge County), Ky.

Mr. MACY age 65, died suddenly at his home.  He was married to Jennie 
KINCHELOE, who preceded him in death 6 years ago.  He was the son of Thomas 
MACY and Ann BRUINGTON.
 A well-known rural mail carrier.  He carried mail for 41 years.  He retired 
when he'd developed a heart condition.  This finally led to his death.  He was 
a farmer and former school teacher in Breckinridge County, and a member of the 
Hardinsburg Methodist Church.  Mr. MACY was a good, kind man always kind and 
thoughtful, and loved to do things for his family and friends when he was able 
to do so.
Mr. Macy is survived by:
three daughters:
Mrs. Mary SEATON, Hardinsburg, Ky.
Mrs. Ann CECIL, Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky.
Mrs. Ruth EMBRY, Louisville, Ky.
four sons:
Ralph MACY, Cheyenne, Wyoming
James MACY, Elizabethtown (Hardin County), Ky.
Tom MACY, Irvington (Breckinridge County), Ky
W. G. MACY, Jr., Hardinsburg, Ky.
One son, E. B. MACY preceded him in death 3 years ago.
14 grandchildren
two half-brothers:
Morris MACY, Harned (Breckinridge County), Ky.
W. W. MACY, Louisville, Ky.
five half-sisters:
Mrs. Anna POTTS, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Chester ARMBUSTER, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Garvin SCOTT, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. James PEACE, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Virginia BASHAM, Harned, Ky.

Additional Comments:
I found a tombstone for William and his wife, Jennie.
