Written on May 25, 1899 for the News by Anna J. DUTSCHKE, Pleasant Valley, 
Kentucky.
Mr. John MANNING died Sunday May 21, 1899.  He was born in Meade County, Ky on 
February 16, 1826 near Rhodelia.  He leaves his wife and 12 children.  He died 
from Brights Disease.  He is a Catholic, and was buried Monday at 1:00 p.m. at 
St. Theresa Cemetery.  The Reverend Father Reanx conducted the funeral services.
