Obituary

John A. MARSHALL age 72.  He was born in Breckinridge County, Ky., and died at 
his home in Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky., after an 8 month's illness.  
In 1911 he was married to Miss Jane DAVIS, who died in 1934.  Surviving him 
are:
one son:
Owen D. MARSHALL, Louisville, Ky.
one daughter:
Mrs. Ruth ADAIR, Louisville, Ky.
6 grandchildren
Also surviving are:
his widow, the former Miss Bobbye DOBBIN of Paducah, Ky. whom he married on 
March 11, 1941.

Mr. MARSHALL, a former school teacher, and a member of the Board of Education 
when Breckinridge County High School was built.  In more recent years he and 
Mrs. MARSHALL were nurses at Western State Hospital, Hopkinsville, and at Ohio 
State Hospital in Cincinnati (Hamilton County), Indiana, where they graduated 
as nurses.  His last employment was at Central State Hospital.  He retired 4 
years ago.

The funeral services were held on November 25, 1960 at the Hardinsburg 
Methodist Church where he had been a member.  The Dowell Funeral Home of 
Hardinsburg was in charge of arrangements, and burial was in the Ivy Hill 
Cemetery in Hardinsburg.

Additional Comments:
John shares a tombstone with his first wife, and his second wife has a 
tombstone as well.
