OBITUARY, Page 4
Big Spring, Ky (Breckinridge County) February 4, 1929 (Special)
     Mrs. C. C. MARTIN, near 76 years of age, died at her home here at 12:55 
p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 1929, following an illness of several weeks.
     Mr. and Mrs. MARTIN had lived in this community for some thirty odd 
years.  Though having been married almost 60 years and having reared a large 
family, this was the first death that had ever occurred in the immediate 
family.  Mrs. MARTIN is survived by:
her husband
four daughters:
Mrs. Tim MILLER of Vertrees, Ky (Hardin County)
Mrs. B. H. SPRINGGATE of Cloverport, Ky
Mrs. Jeff TRENT of Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. J. L. MORRIS of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
two sons:
Ed C. MARTIN of this place (Big Spring, Ky)
Schuyler MARTIN of Louisville, Ky
Also survived by a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
     The funeral services were conducted by the Reverend R. H. Roe, Pastor 
of the Methodist Church at Big Spring, of which she was a devout member.  
The Reverend Mr. Roe was assisted by the Reverend W. B. Hammack, a Baptist 
Minister.  Ten of her grandsons acted as pallbearers.  The burial was held 
in the Methodist Cemetery.
