A MEMORIAL, Written by: T. M. BATES

     Mrs. Ellender H. MASON, departed this life November 20, 1891 at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Harriet MUFFITT.
     Mrs. MASON was born in Prince George County, Maryland August 10, 1810, but 
came with her parents to Kentucky when but six months old, and has lived here in 
Breckinridge County ever since.
     She has been a member of the Baptist Church for many years, and has always 
lived a consistent Christian, wielding an influence wherever and whenever she 
could.  Her afflictions and burdens in this life were many and hard to bear, but 
she bore them all as becomes a Christian.
     Her last illness was short, lasting only a few days, but she was resigned 
to her fate from the very first, saying that she was ready to go at anytime, and 
when the end came, fell asleep as a little child.
     She leaves a multitude of friends and relations to mourn her loss.
