OBITUARY   
AGED CITIZEN PASSES AWAY
DEATH DUE TO BRIGHT'S DISEASE
LEAVES A WIDOW AND NINE CHILDREN
     Mr. Robert C. MATTINGLY, who was familiarly known to his friends as "Uncle
Bob", died 
at his home Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock after a lingering illness of Bright's
Disease.  
The funeral was held Tuesday morning from the St. Rose Catholic Church.  Father
Henry 
performed the last rites.  The interment took place at the McGavock grave yard.
     Mr. MATTINGLY was born in Mattingly, Ky in 1846 (NOTE: 1900 census shows born
1845).  
He has lived in Cloverport for many years.  Besides his widow, he leaves nine
children, who 
are:
Miss Cornelia MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Miss Sadie MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Miss Lena MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Mr. Robert MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Mr. Ben MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Mr. Lon MATTINGLY, who resides in Cloverport, Ky
Mrs. Percy RYAN of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Cora McQUADY of Evansville, Indiana (Vanderburgh County)
SISTER Angeline MATTINGLY of Mount St. Joseph Convent of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess
County)




Additional Comments:
#0234 McGavock Cemetery #2, located near the Breckinridge-Hancock Counties 
line, southeast of the Dukes Community.
(I believe the county line goes right through the middle of the cemetery.)
