OBITUARY
SHIRLEY NORETTA MATTINGLY   1940-2020
     Shirley Noretta MATTINGLY, age 80, of Harned, Ky., in Breckinridge County, 
died on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at her residence.  She was born in 
Breckinridge County on May 18, 1940, a daughter of the late Peyton and Jettie 
CARMAN COMPTON.
     She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, flowers, family time, and 
attending church services.
     She was preceded in death by:
her parents
her husband, Joseph MATTINGLY
a son, Christopher PHILLIPS
three sisters:
Catherine HARPER
Ressie LEMONE  (?LEMOINE)
Ray Wanda COMPTON
four brothers:
James COMPTON
Hollis COMPTON
Johnny COMPTON
Carol COMPTON
     Shirley is survived by:
one son
three daughters
10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren
one brother
one sister
     Funeral services were held at Restorations Church on Monday, September 21, 
2020 under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial 
followed in Locust Hill Cemetery.

1073 (Locust Hill-Harned Road) and KY 1401 (Woodrow Road), at Locust Hill, KY in  
central Breckinridge County, directly behind the church.
