OBITUARY

     Benjamin Everett MAXWELL, age 85 of Route 2, Hardinsburg, died on Monday, 
October 31, 1983 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.  A retired 
barber, he was a native of Breckinridge County, and a son of the late David 
and Lucy Alice CARWILE MAXWELL.  He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Reba MAXWELL
two daughters:
Mrs. Jean POCIUS of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Ms. Mary Alice MAXWELL of Hardinsburg, Ky
two grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild
     Services will be conducted  on Thursday, November 3, 1983, at the New 
Bethel Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.  The Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, is in charge of arrangements.

MAXWELL, and their great grandson, James William WHITWORTH, Jr., all have a
tombstone.
