Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
Rita McGary, age 80 of Hardinsburg,KY died Monday, 2-16-2009 at Hosparus 
Inpatient Care Center. She was born in Breckinridge County on 8-13-1928, the 
daughter of the late Willis and Mary Gertrude Hinton. She was a member of St. 
Romuald Catholic Church and Altar Society, a former member of the Parish 
Council, a member of the Kirk and Breckinridge County Homemakers who enjoyed 
quilting and sewing. She was a former employee of Tobin's Dry Goods, Arnetts 
Department Store and Galante Studio.
 
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Bernard and John F. Hinton
 
Rita is survived by her husband - Billy Ward McGary of Hardinsburg,KY
3 children: Pat McGary of Louisville,KY
Steve McGary of Hardinsburg,KY
Susan Reeves of Copperas Cove, TX
5 grandsons: Anthony, Andrew and Shawn McGary
John and Robert Reeves
1 brother - Louis Hinton of Hardinsburg,KY
3 sisters: Frances Payne of Hardinsburg,KY
Elizabeth Burlage of Daphne, AL
Imelda Richardson of Louisville,KY
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2-20-2008 at 11AM at St. Romuald 
Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Bickett officiating. Burial will be in the 
church cemetery. Visitation on Thursday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home from 4-
8PM and after 8:30AM Friday. Memorial contributions are requested to: St. 
Romuald Church.
