He was born on July 25, 1919, in Breckinridge County, the son of the late Elmer and Nannie DOWELL MCCOY. Mr. MCCOY was a retired supervisor of the Keebler Corporation. He was a member of Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include: his wife, Alberta SMITH MCCOY of Hardinsburg, Ky two sons one daughter-in-law 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery under the direction of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg. Additional Comments: #0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.
