OBITUARY
JAMES W. MCCOY
     James Willie MCCOY, a 67 year old Metropolis, Illinois resident of Massac 
County, died there Monday, December 20, 1976.  He was born in Breckinridge County 
on November 7, 1909, the son of the late Richard and Fannie TABOR MCCOY.
     He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Violet MCCOY
one daughter, Mrs. Anna Frances EMBRY of Louisville, Ky
a step-daughter, Mrs. Clara Louise ALLEN of Chicago, Illinois
one son, Robert O. MCCOY of Louisville, Ky
two sisters: 
Mrs. Mary HAYNES of Harned, Ky
Mrs. Carlotta BULLOCK of Prophetstown, Illinois
two brothers:
Hobert MCCOY of Prophetstown, Illinois
Louis MCCOY of Clinton, Iowa
     The funeral was held on Thursday, December 23, 1976 from the chapel of the 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.  Burial was in Freedom Cemetery.

#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
