Jack was born in Barnesville, Robeson County, North Carolina on October 6, 1931, son of the late Jenrett MCDANIEL & Nora Belle BASS MCDANIEL. Jack was a member of the Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. ARMY for 26 years; in the Korean and Vietnam wars as an engineer mechanical maintenance supervisor. The honors he received were: Soldiers Medal Bronze Star Meritorious Service After retirement from the Army in December 1975, he went to work for the U.S. ARMY-Civil Service at Fort Knox, Ky, retiring in December 1988. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and traveling the U.S. with his wife. He is survived by: his wife, Wilma "Jean" NORTON MCDANIEL, and they celebrated their Golden Anniversary January 14, 2017. his sister one nephew Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. Burial followed in the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Additional Comments: #0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60. The church lies east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge. In Breckinridge County, Ky.
