OBITUARY   1944-2020
     Wilma "Jean" NORTON MCDANIEL, age 76, of Hardinsburg, Ky., died on Thursday, 
December 17, 2020 at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital, Louisville, Ky.
     She was born at Harned, Ky., in Breckinridge County on October 11, 1944, the 
daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Irene TABOR NORTON.
     She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Jack MCDANIEL
her sister, Ava HORNBACK
her brother, Gordon Lee NORTON
     Jean attended Irvington Grade School and High School, and was a member of the 
Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where one of her ministries there was being

President of the Women's Mission Group.  She was an active member of the
Breckinridge 
County Chamber of Commerce in Hardinsburg, and the Irvington Heritage Council.  She

worked many years in the Finance Department of Civil Service at Fort Knox, Ky.  One

of her amazing qualities was being very organized and to the letter in all of her 
endeavors.
     She is survived by:
by her devoted "bonus" children
her sister
her brother
4 nieces; 5 nephews; 8 great nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from the chapel of the

Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, with burial in Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian

Church Cemetery. 

Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
