Page 4, THE DEATH OF A PROMINENT FARMER

Obituary -- Hillory McGARY, living near Jolly's Station (now called McQuady in 
Breckinridge County), Ky., died last Sunday evening at 3:00 p.m.(October 29, 
1899).  The cause of death was inflamation of the bowels -- a sudden death.  
He took sick last Thursday and died on Sunday.  He was about 55 years old.  He 
leaves his widow and seven children.  He was a member of the Catholic Church.  
He was buried Monday afternoon at the Catholic Cemetery at this place (Jolly 
Station).
Please note:  Hillory McGARY was buried in Hardinsburg.

St. Romuald Catholic Church and Cemetery.  Highway 259.  Cemetery lies between 
the Parish Church and the northern limits of the city of Hardinsburg, Ky., in 
central Breckinridge County.

        son of H. M. & M. A., on the same stone with Peter S.
McGARY, Peter S.  Feb 14 1890 -- Oct 22 1918
        Pvt. Sup Co 138 Fd Arty (Private Supply Company 138 Field Artillery)
        on the same stone with Robert W.
McGARY, H. (Hillory) M.  Jun 23 1842 -- Oct 29 1899
Hillory and his son, Robert, died 13 days apart.  I could not identify 
Hillory's wife with a tombstone.
