OBITUARY
MRS. OSCAR MEADOR
Harned -- Mrs. Bertha MEADOR, wife of Mr. Oscar MEADOR, was called to her Heavenly 
Home Monday, February 2, 1959.  
     The funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon at the Garfield Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Charles Brear, assisted by the Reverend W. F. 
Thompson.
PALLBEARERS were nephews:
E. B. KENNEDY          Herschel BASHAM
J. T. POOLE            Morris BASHAM
Homer TABOR            C. W. BASHAM
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.
     Mrs. MEADOR was a daughter of James R. and Mary JOHNSON KENNEDY, who preceded 
her in death,  She was born December 5, 1883.  She was united in marriage to Mr. 
Oscar MEADOR on January 10, 1906, and to this union one son was born.
     She professed faith in Christ early in life, and was a member of Garfield 
Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Her kind words and pleasant smile will be missed, 
but the memory of her consecrated Christian life will live on in the hearts of her 
loved ones and friends, and be an inspiration to live near her Christ, and meet 
her in the Home Above.
     She is survived by:
her husband, Oscar MEADOR
her son, Franklin MEADOR of Evansville, Indiana
4 grandsons
three sisters:
Mrs. Austin DOWELL of Harned, Ky
Mrs. James POOLE of Rt.2, Leitchfield, Ky
Mrs. Asia NORTON of Louisville, Ky
one brother, Rufus KENNEDY of Louisville, Ky
     



Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
