Mary Withers Miller, age 87 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, August 16, 2008 
at Breckinridge Health,INC. She was born in Kirk, KY on 9-1-1920, the daughter 
of the late Lafayette Green Withers and Genevieve Mattingly Withers. Granny 
Miller, as she was affectionately known, was a homemaker, a member of St. 
Romuald Catholic Church and past member of the Altar Society. She was a member 
of the Kirk Homemakers and enjoyed cooking and working puzzles.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband: Sam Miller
2 grandchildren: Michael and Mary Franklin
1 brother: William Russell Withers
1 sister: Vinnie Payne
 
Mary is survived by 6 children: Ruth (Bill) Franklin and John Miller of Bowling 
Green,KY
Judy (Pat) Cheshire of Mount Washington,KY
Mary (Don) Mascaro of Union Star,KY
Charlie (Sue) Miller and Jim Miller of Hardinsburg,KY
12 grandchildren: Prudie Hartman, Melinda Terry, Patrick Cheshire II, Jennifer 
Heim, Beth Ann Medley, Sarah Mascaro, Carrie Buchanan, Brandon Miller, Emily 
Balbaugh, Dylan and Carly Miller
11 great grandchildren
4 sisters: Lafie Jolly of McQuady,KY
Jean Wheatley and Margaret Tucek of Florida
Anna Laura Greenwell of Louisville,KY
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 8-19-2008 at St. Romuald Catholic 
Church with Fr. Tony Bickett officiating. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday from 3:30 - 8:00PM 
and after 8:30AM Tuesday. Prayer service to be held on Monday at 7PM. Memorial 
contributions are requested to: Crusade for Children or St. Jude's.
