D. R. MURRAY DIES IN TOLEDO Remains Will Be Brought To Cloverport For Interment Wednesday Aftetrnoon Col. David R. MURRAY, former Adjutant General of Kentucky, and once one of the most prominent attorneys in the state, died Monday at the home of his son, David MURRAY, Jr., in Toledo, Ohio. Paralysis was the cause. Col. MURRAY was 72 years old. He won his rank of Colonel in the Civil War. After the war he settled in Hardinsburg, and practiced law there, and in Cloverport for years. He was a Democrat. He is survived by: his son, David R. MURRAY, Jr. two daughters: Mrs. F. D. FERRY of Louisville, Ky Miss Mildred MURRAY of Washington Col. MURRAY for some years an attorney of the L.H. & St.L. Railroad. In 1900 he was appointed Adjutant General of Kentucky by Governor BECKHAM, and held that position four years. He was a brother of Logan MURRAY, formerly a banker of Louisville, and now connected with New York. Also the late Gen. Eli MURRAY, once U.S. Marshall of Kentucky, and the late John Allen MURRAY of Cloverport. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Adele HAMBLETON, who died Saturday. The funeral party of Gen. Murray will reach Cloverport Wednesday morning on the 10:45 o'clock train. The funeral service will be held that afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church, followed by the interment in the Murray grave yard. (NOTE: so, was he a general or a colonel?)
