OBITUARY
     Mrs. Mary Gertrude NEAFUS, 73 year old Harned, Ky resident, was dead on 
arrival at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg, on March 16, 1978, of an 
apparent Heart Attack.  She was born in Breckinridge County on April 30, 1904, 
to the late John and Ida CONWAY SOSH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess NEAFUS in 1972.
     She is survived by:
her step-mother, Mrs. Myrtle SOSH of Hardinsburg, Ky
one son, Kenneth NEAFUS of Hardinsburg, Ky
three daughters:
Mrs. Betty BRUINGTON of Harned, Ky
Mrs. Dorothy MACY of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Ida SIMMONS of Elizabethtown, Ky
a half-brother, Roy Lee SOSH of Jeffersonville, Indiana
11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren
     The funeral services were held on Sunday, March 19, 1978 at 2 p.m. at the 
Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery, 
under the direction of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.

#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
