OBITUARY
Raymond NIX, age 77, of Harned, Ky in Breckinridge County, died Wednesday, 
September 14, 1988 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky (Hardin 
County), after a lengthy illness.  He was born in Breckinridge County on 
February 17, 1911, a son of the late Jesse NIX and Iona THORNHILL NIX.  Mr. 
NIX was retired from the United States Army.  He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Jessie HARPER NIX
three sisters:
Mrs. Pauline TUCKER of Hudson, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. Anna COMPTON of Elizabethtown, Ky
Mrs. Mildred HENNING of Ohio
     Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 1988 
from the chapel of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg with the 
Reverend George Allgood, officiating.  Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Raymond NIX has a tombstone at the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery 
at SeRee, in Breckinridge County, Ky.
