OBITUARY
     Mrs. Effie Jewell MEADOR NORTON, a 52 year old Harned, Ky., resident of 
Breckinridge County, died at 11:50 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 1987 at Hardin 
Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky.  She was born June 18, 1935, a daughter 
of Andrew "Joe" MEADOR and Hilda SKAGGS MEADOR of Harned, who survive.
     Surviving in addition to her parents are:
her husband, Gordon L. NORTON
one daughter
one granddaughter
     Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday August 12, 1987) at 
Faith Community Church near Garfield.  Burial will be in the Freedom Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Poole-Willoughby Funeral Home in 
Hardinsburg, in charge.
     



Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
