OBITUARY
LAWRENCE DUANE NORTON     1933-2003 
     Lawrence Duane NORTON, age 70, of Webster, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died 
Friday, March 14, 2003 at Hardinsburg.  Born in Mercer County, Illinois, January 24,

1933, Mr. NORTON was the son of Orum and Gracie MEADOR NORTON.  He was a truck
driver, 
a farmer, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Freedom Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church.  His wife, Mrs. Eula Mae NORTON, preceded him in death in
2000.
     Survivors are:
a daughter
a brother
six sisters
1 grandchild; 2 great grandchildren
     Services were held Monday, March 17, 2003, at Alexander Funeral Home,
Irvington.  
Burial was in Freedom Cemetery in Garfield.











     
      




Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies
east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
