RALPH E. "SHORTY" NORTON    1929-2005
     Ralph E. "Shorty: NORTON, age 76, of Hardinsburg, died Tuesday, December 27, 
2006 at his home.  He was born on March 3, 1929 in Breckinridge County, a son of 
the late Elbert and Lena SNYDER NORTON.  He was a retired logger and farmer, a 
member of Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge 
#67.
He was preceded in death by:
a brother, Bernard NORTON
a sister, Louise NORTON
     Mr. NORTON is survived by:
his wife, Ruth DOWELL NORTON of Hardinsburg, Ky
two sons
one daughter
6 grandchildren
two brothers
     Funeral services were held Friday, December 30, 2006 at Freedom Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church.  Burial was in Freedom Cemetery under the direction of the 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.





Additional Comments:
#0130 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
