     Mrs. Irene NORTON, age 84, of Irvington, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died on 
Monday, March 27, 1995, at her home following a lengthy illness.  Born April 21, 
1910 in Breckinridge County, a daughter of the late George Reese TABOR & Lea 
MEADOR TABOR.
     She was a housewife, a member of Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and 
a 50-year member of Modern Woodmen.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma NORTON.
     Surviving her are:
her husband, Ernest NORTON
three daughters
two sons
one sister
two brothers
17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren
     Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 30,1995, at the Freedom 
Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery, under the 
direction of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.

#0130 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
