OBITUARY   
     Edgar NORTON, an 87 year old resident of Webster, Ky., in Breckinridge 
County, died on Saturday, March 5, 1988 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in 
Elizabethtown, Ky.  Mr. NORTON was born September 9, 1900 near Freedom, a son of 
the late Berry NORTON and Lula FOWLER NORTON.  He was the owner and operator of a 
general merchandise store in Webster for 42 years.
     He is survived by:
two daughters
one son
one foster son
one sister
6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren
several step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Monday, March 7, 1988 from the chapel of the 
Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.  Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.

#0130 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
