Franklin Taylor Owen, age 82 of Hardinsburg,Ky died Saturday, September 20, 
2008 at Medco Center. He was born in Breckinridge County on 3-26-1926, the son 
of the late R. S. Owen and Ola Pearl Owen. Frank was the retired owner/operator 
of Hardinsburg Tire Service, a deacon, member and Sunday school teacher at 
Hardinsburg Baptist Church and a member of The Gideon's. He loved to work and 
read.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Gwendolyn Tucker Owen, a daughter: Fran 
Owen Kampfe and 2 brothers: W. R and R.S Owen,II

Frank is survived by his wife: Mildred Wilson Owen of Hardinsburg,KY
his son: Frankie Owen of Hardinsburg,KY
his daughter: Barbara Bailey of Lexington,KY
2 step daughters: Brenda Hughes of Bowling Green,KY and Linda Powell of 
Hardinsburg,KY
3 grandchildren: Lory Steely, Jessica and David Kampfe
2 step grandchildren: Tim Powell and Heather Zigarski
1 great granddaughter: Isabella Steely
2 step great grandsons: William and Michael Zigarski
many nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11AM at 
Hardinsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Dooley, Rev. Danny Haynes and Rev. 
Doug Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation at 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday from 3 - 8PM and after 8:30AM Tuesday. 
Memorial contributions are requested to: Hardinsburg Baptist Church Building 
Fund or The Gideon's.
