Betty Was born October 13, 1931 in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late James Robert DAWSON and Elizabeth Louise EGAN. She married the love of her life, Franklin PATE, on October 2, 1946. Throughout her life she was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She worked for many years as a cook at the Riverview Restaurant. To most, she was considered a champion buscuit and fried chicken maker. Later in life she became a very enthusiastic WWE Championship Wrestling fan, and Lifetime Movie Network fan. Her strong bond with immediate and extended family was cherished by all that knew her. Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Franklin PATE her children: David PATE Brenda PATE Donald PATE 3 grandchildren: Buffy PATE Dewayne RAPIER Melissa TONGATE along with 9 brothers and sisters Betty is survived by: two daughters two sons 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren one brother, Donald Doris DAWSON and several nieces and nephews Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville, Ky., with burial following in Pisgah Cemetery.
