B. PATE BURIED AT MATTINGLY Aged Father of William PATE, Succumbed Saturday Spent His Life On A Farm Charles Bonaparte PATE, a life long resident of Breckinridge County, died at the home of his son, William PATE, this city (Cloverport), at 1 o'clock Saturday morning. His death was due to Uremia superinduced by infirmities of old age. Mr. PATE was 78 years old, born on a farm near Mattingly, Ky., in Breckinridge County on September 11, 1845. He was one of several children born to William and Mildred WEATHERHOLT PATE. On February 28, 1869, Mr. PATE was married to Miss Nancy Jane TAUL. They had three children: William PATE Mrs. Cornelia PATE HAWKINS, wife of Alfred HAWKINS, Cloverport, Ky one son, Alfred D. PATE, died in infancy Since the death of his wife four years ago, Mr. PATE has lived in Cloverport with his son, William PATE & Mrs. PATE. Up to this time, he had always resided at Mattingly, and was a farmer. He united with the Clover Creek Baptist Church in early manhood, and later moved his membership to the Cloverport Baptist Church. Surviving with his children are: seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren one brother: W. M. PATE of Hardinsburg, Ky two sisters: Mrs. Nat TAUL of Hardinsburg, Ky Mrs. James FARROW of Arkansas The renains were taken to Mattingly for interment in the Taul grave yard. The funeral party left here by motor Sunday morning and arrived at Mattingly at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon, when the funeral was held at the grave by the Reverend H. A.
