OBITUARY
     Franklin Moorman PAYNE "Moorman", age 55, died on Wednesday, March 8, 
1967, following months of ill health.  He died at the Veteran's Hospital in 
Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky.  He was a patient there for about six months.  
He was born at Sample, Ky in Breckinridge County, the son of Mrs. Georgia 
BASHAM PAYNE, who survives.  Also surviving are:
an uncle:
Owen BASHAM of Sample, Ky
one niece:
Mrs. Mike SMITH of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
one nephew:
Willett T. PAYNE of Hardinsburg, Ky
     Serving with the U.S. Air Force, Mr. PAYNE concluded his military duties 
in 1953.  He was a devoted son and and after leaving service, returned to his 
mother's home where he was residing when stricken with illness.
     The Funeral was held on Sunday, March 12, 1967 at the Dhonau Funeral Home, 
Cloverport, with Military graveside services at the Sample Cemetery.
