OBITUARY
     Mrs. Beulah H. PENICK, age 87, of Elizabethtown, Ky in Hardin County, died 
on Monday, September 23, 1985, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown.  
Mrs. PENICK was born in Breckinridge County on December 15, 1897, a daughter of 
the late John Isaac HAYNES and Della Alma OVERTON HAYNES.  She was employed for 
several years with Stewart's in Louisville, Ky.
Her husband, Hubert PENICK, preceded her in death in 1980.
     She is survived by:
three daughters
one sister, Mrs. Mabel MERKEL of St. Louis, Missouri
one brother-in-law, Russell PENICK of Louisville, Ky
13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild
     Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, September 25, 1985) at 2 
p.m. EDT from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.  Burial 
will be in the Freedom Cemetery, Garfield.

#0130 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
