For 10 days previous to her death, she was speechless, and unconscience the greater part of the time due to a partial stroke of paralysis. Mrs. PETITT was a faithful member of the Christian Church from girlhood. She devoted much of her life to those in sickness or distress, and was ever ready to help them. For the past two years, she had been a great sufferer, but bore her illness without complaining. She is survived by a husband and several children. The funeral was conducted from the Christian Church on Friday, January 29, 1904 by the Reverend J.C. HOSKINSON of the Methodist Church, and interment was in the graveyard of the former church.
