Charles B. Phillips
Charlie Basil Phillips, 84, of Vanzant, died on Thursday, August 16 (1984) at 
his residence.  He was born in Breckinridge County on September 20, 1899, a son 
of the late George and Fannie Johnson Phillips.  Surviving are:
his wife:
Mrs. Gertie Bratcher Phillips
two daughters:
Mrs. Wanda McCarty, Irvington
Mrs. Betty Phillips, Route 3, Hardinsburg
three sons:
Floyd Phillips, Sample
Burton Phillips, Michigan
Glen Phillips, Illinois
14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
Funeral - was Saturday, August 18, at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. 
Jim Garrison.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, 
Hardinsburg, in charge.
