Ruth W. Pollock, 66, Hardinsburg, died Jan. 15, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical 
Health System. She was born Sept. 3, 1941, the daughter of Garfield “Pete” 
Shrewsbury and Dorothy Taul Shrewsbury.

She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in McQuady and a 1959 graduate 
of Breckinridge County High School. She enjoyed fishing and was a University of 
Louisville basketball fan. 

Mrs. Pollock is survived by her husband, Carl Pollock of Hardinsburg; two 
daughters, Brittney Goodman, Fargo, N.D., and Tracey Kasey, Rough River; three 
sons, Jason Goodman, Owensboro, Chris Goodman, Hardinsburg, and Todd Pollock, 
Lexington; her mother, Dorothy Shrewsbury, McQuady; a brother, Gene David 
Shrewsbury, McQuady; and a sister, Becky Taul, Hardinsburg

Funeral services will be held Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. CST from the chapel of Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Rupard of the Corinth Baptist Church 
officiating. Burial will be in the McQuady Cemetery. Friends may call at the 
funeral home Jan. 17, 3:30-8 p.m. CST and after 8 a.m. Jan. 18. 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the McQuady 
Cemetery Fund.
