OBITUARY

     Ernest POOLE, age 89, of Ekron, Ky., in Meade County, died at his home 
there on Monday, September 22, 1986.  He was born in Breckinridge County on 
August 13, 1897, a son of the late Thomas and Katie BROCK POOLE.  He was a 
retired construction employee.  A daughter, Bobbie Sue, preceded him in death 
in 1939.  Mr. POOLE is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Agnes HOBBS POOLE
one daughter:
Mrs. Edna HOBBS of Guston, Ky (Meade County)
two sons:
David POOLE of Ekron, Ky
Paul POOLE of Ekron, Ky
13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 25, 1986 from the 
chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, Ky.  Burial was in the 
Hensley Cemetery, east of Garfield.
