Born February 2, 1922 in Ohio County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Mammie Rogers Richards. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church and Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge # 67. He was preceded in death by a daughter Donna and a son Don. Surviving is: his wife: Lillie Mae Shartzer Richards of Hardinsburg a daughter: Debbie Lucas of Custer three sons: Dale Richards of Kingswood Phil Richards of Hardinsburg Kenny Richards of Hardinsburg four sisters: Norene Richards of Hardinsburg Opal Robbins of Hardinsburg Glayds Smith of Hardinsburg Helen SanSota of Hardinsburg three brothers: Deward Richards of Hardinsburg Herb Richards of Hardinsburg Lamar (Pete) Richards of Hardinsburg 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren Masonic services were held Sunday at 7 p.m. The funeral was held Monday, January 12, at the Hardinsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery. Trent-Dowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
