OBITUARY
FRIEDA RIEDEL
     Word was received here of the death of Miss Frieda (Elfrieda) RIEDEL of 
Anaheim, California (Orange County) on Tuesday, July 28, 1970.  Miss RIEDEL was 
born in Cloverport.  When she was a child, the family moved to the RIEDEL Farm in 
the Holt community (Breckinridge County).  Later she moved with her mother and 
sisters to Los Angeles, California (Los Angeles County), where she lived until 
her retirement from public work.
     The funeral was held on Thursday, July 31 at Little Church of the Flowers 
Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California (Los Angeles County).  Among 
the survivors in Breckinridge County are:
one nephew:
Carl RIEDEL, who lives on the RIEDEL Farm
two nieces:
Mrs. P. A. BLACK of Stephensport, Ky
Mrs. C. W. DOWELL of Union Star, Ky
one brother:
Gus B. RIEDEL of Dunmore, Pennsylvania (Lackawanna County)






  

Additional Comments:
PLEASE NOTE:  Miss Elfrieda RIEDEL may have had a funeral service in California, 
but she is not buried there.  She has a tombstone at the Cloverport Cemetery, 
along with her brothers and sisters, and her parents as well.

NOTE:  When their son Walter E. RIEDEL died in August 1904, in a train wreck, his 
obituary did not list his father as a survivor.  Only his mother, Barbara.  So 
year 1907 as his father's death date is most likely not correct.  But then how 
can Elfrieda be born in 1912, if her father died before 1904? or even 1907?  This 
family needs some research to figure out these dates.
Also note that Elfrieda's brother, Gus B. RIEDEL is not buried here.
