OBITUARY

     The Rev. James Henry ROUNTREE, age 87, of Route 1, Irvington in 
Breckinridge County, died on Saturday, April 10, 1993, at Breckinridge 
Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.  Mr. ROUNTREE was born in Edmonson County, Ky 
on April 19, 1905, a son of the late William and Emmaline GIBSON ROUNTREE.  He 
was a retired carpenter.  Mr. ROUNTREE was preceded in death by his wife, 
Elizabeth, in 1980.  Survivors include:
one daughter
one granddaughter
two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren
one sister: 
Zilpha Mae CLARK of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
     The funeral was held on Tuesday, April 13, 1993 at Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hensley Cemetery.
