OBITUARY
Mrs. Mattie SECUSKIE, age 77, died at her home in Brandenburg, Ky in Meade 
County at 4:35 a.m., Friday, September 23, 1983.  She was born in 
Breckinridge County on September 25, 1905, a daughter of the late John and 
Iva Mae SIPES ELLIOTT.  Surviving are:
one daughter:
Mrs. Margaret THOMPSON of Brandenburg, Ky
two sons:
Carl SECUSKIE, Jr. of Memphis, Indiana (Clark County)
Eugene SECUSKIE of Guston, Ky (Meade County)
four sisters:
Mrs. Nona CLARKSON of Ekron, Ky (Meade County)
Mrs. Anna J. FORTENBERRY of Guston, Ky
Mrs. Flona WHITWORTH of Maceo, Ky (Daviess County)
Mrs. Katherine BOARD of Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
one brother:
Lonnie ELLIOTT of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County)
11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren
     The funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (September 25, 1983), from  
the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, in Breckinridge County, 
with the Reverend Tom Bridge, Pastor of the New Brandenburg Baptist Church, 
officiating.  Burial was in the Custer Cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie ELLIOTT SECUSKIE has a double tombstone she shares with her 
husband, Carl SECUSKIE, Sr., at the Custer Cemetery, at Custer, in 
Breckinridge County, Ky.
