SEVERS, SR. George Hurley Severs, Sr., age 74, of Union Star, died Tuesday, August 22, 1995, at Veteran's Hospital in Louisville. Born April 16, 1921, in Union Star, Mr. Severs was the son of the late Otis Severs and Velma Bruner Severs. He was retired from Radcliff Concrete as a truck driver, was a farmer, and a veteran of World War II serving with the Army. Survivors are his wife, Thelma Severs; 4 daughters, Robin Frank, Union Star; Rebecca Shelman, Alabama; Judy Durbin and Janice Curry, both of Louisville; 7 sons, George Hurley Jr., Paul Wayne, Larry Earl, and James Kevin Severs all of Union Star; Wm. Joseph Severs of Garfield and David Lee Severs of Florida ; 3 sisters, Norma Kin, Cloverport; Etta Stewart, Crestwood; and Minnie Curry, Louisville; a brother, Ed Severs, Union Star, 23 grandchildren adn 4 great- grandchildren.
