Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
Gene Sharp, age 80 of Hardinsburg,KY died Sunday, 2-1-2009 at the residence of 
his sister in Irvington,KY. He was born in Atwood, IL on 9-20-1928, the son of 
the late Elmer and Ada Lucas Sharp. He loved playing cards and being with his 
family.
 
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Junior, Felix and Wilson Sharp
2 sisters: Lois Lucas and Diane Crawford
Gene is survived by 2 sisters - Wilma McHolan of Irvington,KY and Dorothy Jean 
Sturgeon of Hardinsburg,KY
2 brothers - Willis T. Lucas of Harned,KY and John Wayne Lucas of 
Elizabethtown,KY
several nieces and nephews
 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2-5-2009 at Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home at 1PM CST with Bro. Todd Edmonson officiating. Burial will be in the 
Sharp Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 5:30 - 8:00PM CST and after 
8:30AM CST Thursday.
