Mr. Lawrence L. Shelman, USAF MSgt (Ret), age 55, of Tucson, Az. died on 
October 19, 2001.  Mr. Shelman was born in Sample and graduated from St. 
Romuald High School.  He retired from the United States Air Force in 1984.

Survivin are his wife, Betty McClure Shelman, a daughter, Phyllis Hiser, and 
two grandsons, all of Tucson; his mother, Josephine Shelman of Radcliff; two 
sisters, Penny Rannebarger of Radcliff and Carol Kerns of Vine Grove; nine 
brothers, Bill Shelman, Gene Shelman and Stan Shelman, all of Louisville, John 
T. Shelman of of Carlisle, Pa., Lynn Shelman of Brandenburg, Gary Shelman of 
San Antonio, Tx., John E. Shelman of Bellevue, Neb. and Chuck Shelman of 
Ekron.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Chester Shelman.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at 7pm at Bring's 
Broadway Chapel in Tucson.  Mass will be offered at 10am on Thursday, October 
25, 2001 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, also in Tucson.  Remembrances will be 
made to the Arizona Cancer Center, 1515 N. Campbell, Tucson, AZ  85724.
