Page 1, Death Notice
     George W. SHUMATE of Guston (Meade County), Ky., died January 4, 1900, just 
as the light of a new born day stole into the sick chamber.  He died from typhoid 
fever, ill for two weeks.  He was 20 years of age, and a member of the Baptist 
Church for nearly 6 years.

I did not find a tombstone for Mr. George W. SHUMATE in the Breckinridge 
County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991.
